Founded in 2001, Go Digit All is a 'not for profit' organisation which has a track record in delivering services to hard-to-reach communities. This also includes contributing to consultation and research in the area of inclusive learning. Go Digit All's primary aims are to:-
Encourage communities and individuals to actively participate in the ICT generation.
Reduce the digital divide.
Improve the network of information to diverse groups.
Provide refurbished computers to diverse groups and low income households.
To provide high quality, low cost or free training for people in the early stages of their awareness of ICT.
To publicise the benefits of learning ICT, literacy and numeracy skills.
Go Digit All key objectives reside in:
Developing skills of young people and communities by developing support e.g educational programs offering advice sessions to parents on how to support children's education using ICT.
Raising parents understanding of online safety CEOP.
Using ICT to increase employability and entrepreneurship.
Through events Go Digit All plan to increase awareness and help to create strong, sustainable, credible local community networks within Nottinghamshire, and bring together, wherever possible, other community groups for joint initiatives.
